Winter Waters Kickoff at Lil’ America

 

Every great party deserves a signature cocktail, and the two amazing seaweed-centric offerings from Fracture Brewing Taproom made our Winter Waters Kickoff Party feel extra special.

The Sea Lettuce Sour was an inspired balance of sweet citrus and umami with a dusting of Sea Lettuce powder on top, and the refreshing Dulse Mojito was as delicious as it was beautiful, with floating bits of garnet-colored seaweed right in the glass. We also hosted oyster-obsessed pop-up Nacar, helmed by Chef Maylin Chavez, whose signature Baja-inspired offerings sold out within hours.

Dishes included Hama Hama Oysters on the Half Shell with Blue Evolution fermented seaweed, citrus and chili, a Tostada with Blue Evolution wakame mole, confit Oregon albacore, recado negro, and Oregon Seaweed Dulse brittle, as well as Mussels with roasted poblano, smoked goat butter, dashi, Mezcal, torn crouton, and Dulse. Plus, a bonus sweet treat by Pastry Chef Palmira Obesa of “Little Donuts”, flavored with orange, Blue Evolution kombu crème diplomat, and totomoxtle.
